My Story
Kees holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Systems and Control from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. His academic journey was marked by a profound interest in autonomous systems and robotics, followed by three years of fundamental research at the Dutch research organization TNO.
Transitioning from academic exploration to practical application, Kees now contributes his expertise to the Smart Mechatronics And RoboTics (SMART) research group at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Proficient in integrating cutting-edge hardware and software using ROS 2 (Robot Operating System 2), Kees specializes in applied research focused on autonomous navigation. His work extends across various robotic platforms, addressing end-user challenges in sectors such as agriculture, safety & security, and maintenance.
