My Story
Clint Scholten is an agricultural engineer with a keen focus on innovation, sustainable practices, and business development. He holds a Master of Science in Plant Sciences from Wageningen University & Research (WUR), where he specialized in agronomy, horticulture, and natural resource management. After university Clint co-founded a beneficial insect rearing company, showcasing his entrepreneurial drive and passion for innovative solutions in horticulture. Subsequently, he ventured into the corporate sector, working as an Agronomist for Universal Leaf in Indonesia, where he contributed to large-scale sustainable farming practices. Transitioning into more managerial roles, Clint served as Innovation & Technology Manager for Demcon Advanced Mechatronics, where he demonstrated his ability to bridge technical expertise with business acumen, driving innovation within the organization. His career trajectory led him to become a Subsidy Advisor for Saxion University of Applied Sciences, where he honed his skills in consulting professors and researchers in securing funding for research and development projects. Currently Clint serves as a research & business developer at the research group Smart Mechatronics and Robotics (SMART), where he leverages his interdisciplinary background to develop and drive research initiatives and cultivate strategic partnerships on a regional, national, and international level.
