My Story

Benjamin is a specialist in autonomous remote sensing and navigation in GNSS-denied environments. For the past few years, he has been working with emergency services including firefighters and law enforcement to efficiently deploy robotics in extreme environments to gain situational awareness during operations.

Besides being a researcher at Saxion SMART, Benjamin is a PhD-candidate at the ITC faculty of the University of Twente. Under the supervision of professor Francesco Nex, he is researching end-to-end deep-learning frameworks for SLAM during fire incidents.

Whether you are a fellow researcher, an industry professional, or simply someone who shares his passion for innovation and exploration, he is excited to get in contact with you to share insights and experiences in the exciting and rapidly evolving field of robotics.
